If you have been in a rut, or have a to-do list a mile long, this post is for you! I’m featuring 5 S.T.A.G. (Short Term Attainable Goals) you need to set this week to boost productivity, increase positivity and end the week feeling like you are crushing it! Can’t remember what a S.T.A.G. is? No worries. Keep reading!
A S.T.A.G. is a Short Term Achievable Goal. It is a small, clear goal that can be easily accomplished in a short amount of time (~1 week). The purpose of a S.T.A.G. isn’t to be a remarkably life changing goal, but it is for when you need a quick reboot in the right direction. An example of a S.T.A.G. is this: I will lift weights as part of my work out for 5 out of the next 7 days. In this example, there’s no long term commitment, it’s reasonable yet challenging and it physically gets you moving (not all goals have to involve intense physical activity!). The key to a S.T.A.G. is to start thinking of your next one 1-2 days before your current one expires (hint: this is getting you in the habit of setting WEEKLY goals - it’s like goal setting for beginners!).
I don’t recommend that you usually set 5 S.T.A.G. in one week… but this week I am because these are too good to not share.
S.T.A.G. 1: This week, I will write a thank you note to a family member, a friend and a co-worker to express my gratitude.
S.T.A.G. 2: This week, I will hit the gym one more time than I did last week.
S.T.A.G. 3: This week, I will reserve my “golden hour” aka one hour that is dedicated purely to ME and what will re-energize me.
S.T.A.G. 4: This week, I will treat myself to a budget friendly "treat yo self" because I deserve it.(Glass of wine, anyone?)
S.T.A.G. 5: This week, I will get done that one nasty to-do that has been on my list for longer than I’ve been alive. (Total insight into my life right now - I’m about 2,000 miles overdue for an oil change - sorry dad).
Have a great week!
